RES Library

We maintain a comprehensive library of natural history guidebooks on local plants and animals, both marine and terrestrial. Please come in to browse our guidebooks and look up that beetle you saw, or the bird your neighbor told you about. Our naturalists can also help you decide which guidebooks are worth adding to your own personal library. We also have an extensive collection of resource books and documents about local history (Nuu-chah-nulth and European), botany, forestry, marine biology, ecology, conservation, environmental education and more. While we don’t lend these out from the Raincoast Interpretive Centre, we welcome you to come in and browse them.
